Caitlin Herrschaft crafts a range of works on paper from sketchbooks to mural sized pieces like those featured in the film, Leona. Pulling from art history and memories of books she was read during childhood, she tells her personal narrative, one of finding and defining identity and what that means to an ever-changing being. These themes are part of why her work integrated so well into the plot of Leona.
Since graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, she began work on her own line of paper goods, prints and housewares under the moniker Tangled Mess Press which she runs out of her studio, just outside Philadelphia. You can see more of her work at caitlinherrschaft.wixsite.com or on her Instagram @tangledmesspress.
