Talkback with Director John Rokonsky and Producer Andriette Redmann

As the Anschluss erupts in Vienna, young Friedrich Biermann’s childhood shatters. Fleeing Nazi persecution across Europe, his Jewish family endures hunger, exile, and a desperate escape to Mandatory Palestine. There, witnessing ships of refugees turned away, during the Holocaust, Friedrich’s anger sparks a moral awakening and a daring act of courage.
