Born in Holon, Israel in 1985, Moshe Rosenthal made his first full length independent film, Rufus, at the age of 22, after finishing his army service. The film was distributed by United King films. In 2008, he started his studies at the Tel Aviv University Department of Film & Television where he wrote and directed two shorts, Clara’s Youth (2011) and The Cities of My Youth (2012). Both participated in a variety of film festivals around the world.

After finishing his studies, Moshe directed commercials and music videos for emerging new music artists. In 2016, he won the Best Director award at the Jerusalem Film Festival for his short film Leave of Absence (Shabaton) (2016). The same year, the long awaited project Confess (2016 – ), an innovative web series by Rosenthal, was released, creating an international interest and winning many awards, including Best Director at the 2017 Sicily Web Fest and the Grand Prix at the Marseille Web Fest.

These days, Moshe is working on a new Israeli television show and developing is upcoming feature film, Independence, in the Sam Spiegel International Film Lab.
