Sarah Barasch-Hagans is an activist, poet, documentary filmmaker, and community builder. She currently organizes as a core team member of Jews Against White Nationalism and was one of the founding leaders of IfNotNow in Philadelphia in 2015. When she lived in Israel, Sarah was active with All That’s Left and other co-resistance groups. She has been an ally of the Ferguson Movement since August 2014 and done substantial grassroots fundraising for Ferguson and the larger Movement for Black Lives. She was the Founder of the Ferguson Media Project, a documentary examining the intersections of Blackness and Judaism in the Ferguson Movement, and has toured and spoken with the film series around the country. She was also one of the co-creators of the #BlackLivesMatter Haggadah Supplement through Jews for Racial and Economic Justice.
