DIGITAL MEDIA MUSIC VIDEO COLLECTION

This collection of aesthetically and sonically diverse music videos spotlights Jewish creators who express their visual storytelling, in part, through song. Featuring both live-action and animated stylings, this collection proves that cinematic storytelling can be told through the medium of music videos.

Get Well Soon

Directed Meital Azulay and Roni Skaly
3 min
Israel | English

Get Well Soon is an art music video produced by Roni Skaly (Israeli Jewish artist) about mental health (OCD and cPTSD), healing through therapy and self reflections, portrayed by a partially nude fairy character and mirrors, with a song wishing for healing through brutal vulnerability, truth and daring to dream of better days.

Hope

Directed Daniel Cohen
3 min
Israel | No dialogue

Hope is a synchronization between animate images, charged by the events of October 7, and the modern verse of Israel national anthem. The remake melody, composed by Yonatan Cedar, suggests a fragile version of the anthem, instead of the original, pompous version of Naftali Herz Imber, which suited the old time “Halutz” spirit. Part of the images relate to the farmers of the Gaza Envelope and their life routine, which cut off since that day. The project is Dedicated to the kidnapped and their families, in hope they will return back home.

Welcome to the Welcome (Bulgars)

Directed Gabriela Maria Sibilska
1 min
Poland | No dialogue

A digitally hand-drawn music video for violinist Zoë Aqua inspired by traditional Transylvanian embroidery and folk art imagery. The film is sponsored by David Shneer New Yiddish Culture Grant.
