Danielle Selber (she/her) is a matchmaker, culture writer, and lifelong Philadelphian. She is the “in house matchmaker” at the non-profit Tribe 12, where she created the organization’s matchmaking initiative in 2014 and grew it to serve hundreds of people dating in Philly’s Jewish community.

Danielle received her Masters in Jewish Studies from Gratz College where she completed a thesis on trends in secular Jewish dating. She is trained in two forms of facilitative mediation, as well as the Stanford d.school’s design thinking methodology.

An American-Israeli dual citizen with Moroccan roots, her cooking and personality have both been described as “surprisingly spicy”. Danielle loves nerdy things like competitive Scrabble, the Sunday crossword, and strives to write something (though not necessarily something good) everyday. The most consistently successful way to her heart is via bubble tea.
