Elizabeth Nonemaker is a freelance writer, journalist, musician, and educator based in Baltimore, Maryland. She writes about classical music for The Baltimore Sun and other publications. In the past, she has served as managing editor for the online music magazine 21CM.org and has covered music and arts for Southern California Public Radio and Cape Town’s Children’s Radio Foundation. As a fellow at USC’s Annenberg School, Nonemaker co-founded the digital arts publication, AmpersandLA. In her previous life as a composer, Nonemaker’s works earned prizes from various organizations, including residencies at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation and MacDowell Colony. She holds degrees in music and journalism from the University of Southern California and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Maryland, College Park.
