Gerry Hartnett, the interim Head of School at Gladwyne Montessori, was an elementary teacher at the school for more than three decades. She received her AMI Montessori Primary and Elementary certification from Ravenhill and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Gwynedd-Mercy College.

Mrs. Hartnett’s many years in the classroom have provided her a unique insight into child development and the educational needs of children. A former student heading to an Ivy League school recently recalled her three years with Mrs. Hartnett as the most impactful time of her pre-college educational experience. Mrs. Hartnett is a thoughtful speaker with a distinct wisdom into how Montessori education challenges students and fosters their curiosity and love of learning.
