Eva and Helen, who were only 2-1/2 years apart, played together as children were just as close during their teen years. Their lives diverged as Eva became part of the Art World and Helen lived in suburbia with two very young children. She worked for Standard Oil of NJ but stayed home to raise our children, whom Eva would visit often. Helen soon got a Masters and became a school librarian for 25 years.

Helen was totally involved in protecting and projecting the legacy of her sister and tried to go to all the exhibitions, meetings, conferences, discussions, panels, etc. She has always been totally committed to the critical reputation of the artist.
