Nir Bergman is one of Israel’s leading film and TV writer/directors. Born in 1969 in Haifa, Israel, he graduated with honors from the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem in June of 1998. Released in 2002, his debut film, Broken Wings, was a major success that won several international awards and was distributed by Sony Classics Pictures in the US. Since then, he has written and directed several award-winning feature films and internationally acclaimed TV series. He co-created the original Israeli series BeTipul (2005-2008), later adapted by HBO as In Treatment (2008 – ).
