Born in Israel in 1982, Ruthy Pribar graduated with honors from The Sam Spiegel Film School in 2012. During her studies, she received a scholarship from The America-Israel Cultural Foundation for promising director. Her short films Last Calls (2012) and The Caregiver (2017) have both been screened at many international film festivals, garnering numerous awards. Her first feature film, Asia (2020), premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2020 where it won three awards for Best Actress, Best Cinematography, and the Nora Ephron Prize. The film is currently being screened in film festivals worldwide.
